IPO Market Keeps Buzzing! Metro PCS Leads with $1B IPO

For the week of April 16 IPO MetroPCS Communications http://www.metropcs.com/ (PCS) leads off with an impressive $1 billion IPO. This wireless communication service company has been waiting for the right moment to hit Wall Street. IPO Hardball! Weekly Analysis and a Review April 9, 2007

This week Mr. Gaskins provides analysis of Comverge (COMV) a company that increases grid reliability for the utility industry.

Description of Business:
Load management, demand response systems for utilities to increase available electric capacity through reduced energy consumption during periods of peak energy demand . Markets itself as a 'clean energy alternative' but that is somewhat of a misnomer, because COMV is in the business of providing grid management & demand response systems . As a result of investments in Virtual Peaking Capacity (VPC) programs (see below), revenue from COMV's Alternative Energy Resources Group has represented an increasing percentage of total revenue, growing from 7% of total revenue for the year ended December 31, 2004 to 52% of total revenue for the year ended December 31, 2006.

Strategic alliance with Air Products and Chemicals, who has (APD) as a stockholder. The alliance for developing business models to jointly recruit large commercial and industrial customers of Air Products as participants in COMV's Virtual Peaking Capacity (VPC) programs;
